Opening in Mesa this month, Urban Jungle Fun Park is the ultimate indoor playground for toddlers up to 14-year-olds.
The city-themed play metropolis has everything from slides, to obstacle courses, to trampolines, several climbing walls, and that’s just the beginning. The park offers more than 25 unique play features to appeal to children of all ages, while helping them move and explore while having fun, promoting fitness through fun.
“You can do a lot more than just jump at Urban Jungle,” said Founder and Chief Executive Officer Bob Krause.
The park caters to adults just as much as it does kids, making it a fun and positive experience for the entire family. Adults can relax in the parents’ lounge, which is fully equipped with luxurious leather furniture, free Wi-Fi, charging stations and 70-inch TVs. They can watch their children while charging their electronics at one of the several charging desks around the park.
Parents are welcome to join the fun and play with their kids. All play equipment and features are adult friendly.
“It’s a kid’s park, but it’s built for families,” Bob said. “We wanted it to be a place where kids felt they were in a grown-up environment.”
Toddlers can even enjoy their own area, which is softer than the other areas of the park and equipped with special activities perfect for their age and interests.
Urban Jungle also is equipped with four party rooms, designed for birthdays and special events. Those children celebrating their birthdays at the park even have special individual birthday messages displayed on the park’s billboard, making each day truly something to remember.
The park also offers health-conscious food options from a local restaurant. Menu items include plenty of healthy snacks and meal options, such as fresh wraps and salads, as well as options like pastas and pizzas for parties.
Typical playtime is 90 minutes, and within those 90 minutes, children not only enjoy the park’s multitude of activities, but they also improve their health and fitness by jumping, climbing, racing and crawling, called Fit Play.
“We’re putting an emphasis on turning fun into fitness,” said Bob. “It’s a dream come true because we built a business with a cause behind it.”
Bob started the business in San Diego with his business partner and co-owner, Dan Collins, a father of 13 children, eight of which are his biological children, and five more who are adopted.
“Our staff really is focused on the service of other people,” said Bob.
This year, Urban Jungle also is giving back to the community by giving away 50,000 hours of free playtime to local schools, youth groups and other organizations. According to Bob, these organizations will utilize these hours to help incentivize children with a reward they are sure to enjoy.
