United Food Bank is partnering with local kid-friendly businesses for a Peanut Butter and Jelly (PB and J) Drive, as part of their Kids Lunch Bunch.
Through April 15, kids can join United Food Bank’s kid’s club, called the Kids Lunch Bunch, by dropping off a jar of peanut butter and a jar of jelly to the Mesa location of Zoyo yogurt, at 1958 E. Brown Road. Kids who bring in PB and J will receive a token of appreciation, such as a discount or coupon.
A list of locations and their prizes can be found at www.unitedfoodbank.org/act/kids-club/.
The Kids Lunch Bunch is a program at United Food Bank to encourage children to help other children in need. Members of the Kids Lunch Bunch will receive a special certificate and a quarterly kid-friendly newsletter to their parents’ e-mail address. The newsletter will include information on upcoming events (exclusively for Kids Lunch Bunch members), easy-to-make healthy recipes, and games, as well as a spotlight on a kid, who is doing something great in the community.
The first event for Lunch Bunch members will be held on Saturday, April 28, at United Food Bank, located at 245 S. Nina Drive. Details will be sent to members at the end of the PB and J Drive.
