More than 25 artists from Mesa Art League (MAL) will show and sell their artwork at Arizona State University (ASU) Gammage Auditorium, from Dec. 19 through Jan. 28.
Theatregoers attending the December and January shows will have an opportunity to view or purchase a variety of art, which will include about 50 works that are oils, acrylics, watercolor or mixed media.
Mesa Art League members are happy to display their work during the busy December schedule at ASU Gammage, which will include the 2018 K-Love Christmas and Manheim Steamroller Christmas, two very popular musicals. During January, theatregoers can attend Hello Dolly and Silent Voice: Lovestate, as well as view the MAL artwork.
“We are happy to have another show at Gammage,” said President of MAL Loralee Stickel-Harris. “Many of the works we have seen in our art league recently are very exciting and of high quality. The opportunity to have another exhibition at ASU Gammage is a privilege for our members.”
“The historic hall, built by Frank Lloyd Wright, is always a wonderful venue for our artists,” stated Patricia Book, a graduate of ASU and member of MAL. “I look forward to revisiting ASU Gammage, which I found so exciting as a student at ASU.”
The exhibit will be open to the general public for tours on Mondays at 1 p.m., at 2 p.m. or at 3 p.m. Please meet at the Box Office. For scheduling tours, or any other special requests, contact ASU Gammage at (480) 965-6912. Please note, tours will not be offered on Dec. 24 or Dec. 31, when ASU Gammage is closed for the holidays.
