-3(-2n-1) – (-5m+7) – 3(5m+7n-3) = ?
The answer is… I have no idea!
That is what many parents are saying when their children come home from school and take out their math homework. Well, parents, the answer to the question is simple—Mathnasium. We make math make sense.
With today’s aggressive approach to learning, and math being a priority, extra support from outside the school system often is the solution. Karen and Brad Jackson, local residents in our community, realized this, and operate Mathnasium, a math learning and tutoring service, specializing in working with our children on an individual basis and, most importantly, at their pace.
Mathnasium’s success comes from its individualized learning plans. Before students start the program, they take tests, which are run through Mathnasium’s exclusive computerized analysis.
“The best way to see if we are a good fit for your child is to visit the center, meet our instructors, and get a better understanding of your child’s specific math needs through an assessment,” Karen suggested. “This allows parents to see where their student both excels and may need help, without any commitment to join our program.”
Mathnasium is located at 2836 N. Power Road, Suite 101, on the northwest corner of Power and McDowell roads. Hours are Monday through Thursday, from 3 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

That equation was just as confusing to me! I really like what was said about how parent’s struggle to effectively help their students. I know that I have been in that situation, and so I can see how hiring a tutoring service can be extremely helpful to your children.
