Salt River Tubing brings the flavor of Southern Louisiana to the Salt River during the fan favorite Madcap Mardi Gras Magic, on Saturday, Aug. 19, from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., in Tonto National Forest.
Laissez les bons temps rouler! Let the good times roll as Salt River Tubing’s flamboyantly attired employees toss free Mardi Gras beads and good luck doubloons to attendees and Zydeco Bounce line dancers wow the joyous crowds. The Parade of Floats (Cajun-style shuttle buses) will transport the merrymakers to the Salt River as they rock to Mardi Gras music.
Costumes are optional for tubers. However, free tubing passes will be awarded for best Mardi Gras costumes and event contests. Tubing passes are valid on return visit. Paint your face, don a mask and throw on your Mardi Gras beads. KISSFM 104.7 radio station and Monster Energy will be onsite with freebies for
the attendees.
“We aim to please with our Southern Louisiana Madcap Mardi Gras Magic event,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Henri Breault. “We hope to draw teens and their families to the great outdoors on the Salt River in Tonto National Forest and celebrate a merry and unique adventure. There will be tons of photo opportunities with our zany Cajun cast of employees. Chill and thrill on the Salt River’s cool and refreshing rapids, even in sizzling temperatures,” he continued.
“Enjoy the beauty of our mini-Grand Canyon recreational paradise and catch a glimpse of the wild horses crossing mid-stream, blue herons gliding across the water and the majestic mountains as you float by with family and friends during Madcap Mardi Gras Magic,” Henri further stated.
