A brand-new salon has opened in Mesa to help women achieve their best look yet in the new year.
Luv Salon brings together decades of experience, a gorgeous luxury space, and a passion for helping women look and feel their best to create an unmatched experience for their clients.
While the salon specializes in hair color and extensions, beauty means much more to owner Dana Barbetta than creating stunning hair — it’s about a lifelong family legacy, and showing women the importance of caring for themselves.
“Taking care of yourself and putting yourself first is a necessity,” said Dana. “You have to do that. That’s why I created this space — and named it Luv Salon — because you have to love yourself before you love others and help others.”
Dana has been helping others to achieve beautiful hair since she was young, working in her parents’ salon in North Mesa, then opening her own in South Gilbert. Now, she’s going back to her roots in Mesa, opening Luv Salon with the support and guidance of her parents, who sold their successful salon five years ago.
She credits much of her expertise to growing up learning from her parents’ business. As owners of a salon in the top three percent of salons nationwide, they’ve helped her to perfect her technical knowledge and customer-focused approach to business.
Now, she’s using that knowledge to give women the most popular, trendsetting looks like long-layered hair, chunky money piece style highlights, and balayage.
“I wanted to create a salon around what I’m passionate about, which is hair color and hair extensions, and focus mainly on those things and making women feel beautiful,” said Dana. “That’s my main goal.”
To help her, she’s developed a team of ambitious, passionate, and well-educated stylists who specialize in hair color and all varieties of extensions, from clip-ins to natural beaded rows and tape-ins.
Not only do Dana and her team know how to do it all — they’re skilled in helping their clients choose the best color and extension options for their lifestyle and goals.
“Some things just fit better for clients depending on how much maintenance they want, how thick their hair is, and what overall look they want to achieve,” said Dana. “We also do a hybrid method, where you take two different kinds of hair extensions.”
Not only will clients leave with the hair of their dreams, they’ll enjoy an incredible experience, thanks to a team of caring stylists. The beautiful salon was designed with feng shui to cultivate the best possible setting for stylists and clients alike, and has high-end elements like a live wall featuring 12,000 plants, an extension bar, color bar, and beautiful back drops for Instagram-worthy hair pictures.
“I designed this salon knowing that I wanted to win Salon of the Year, and what makes a Salon of the Year different is you have to nail every single department — the reception area, the product area, and the luxury stylist stations.”
