When wrongs have occurred, which need to be righted, Bob Willis is an experienced, objective and cost-effective litigator, mediator and arbitrator.
“It brings me a lot of satisfaction to help people who have been wronged to achieve resolution.” said Bob. “As an attorney with more than 16 years of complex litigation experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants, I know how to evaluate the benefits and risks of litigation.”
Bob handles, among other things, serious personal injury and property damage, wrongful death, products liability, contract disputes and assisted living/care home neglect. However, Bob is best known as a reasonable, no-nonsense, fair and well-seasoned construction defect attorney.
As a licensed residential builder with more than 25 years of hands-on construction experience himself, and as an attorney who spent the first eight years of his legal career defending developers, contractors and subcontractors, and then the last eight years representing homeowners, homeowners associations and commercial property owners, Bob understands both sides of any construction dispute. This allows Bob to be a highly effective and efficient attorney, and he also can be truly neutral when called upon to serve as a mediator or arbitrator.
“One of the reasons I provide free consultations to my homeowner clients is that I like to walk a property with the owner, and give it to them straight,” Bob stated. “The reality is very few construction defect cases are clear shot winners. It is important to assess the value and risks of litigation.” Bob takes pride in his ability to connect with people. Midwestern born and raised, Bob tells it like it is.
Being part of the East Mesa community is important to Bob. For nearly the past decade, he has coached youth baseball, basketball and soccer for dozens of kids ranging in age from 5 to 19 from the Red Mountain area. “Helping kids stay focused on fitness, sportsmanship and achievement is part of building a strong community,” he stated.
“I love sports and coaching.”
Last year, Bob was a volunteer coaching staff member for the 2013 Red Mountain High School Freshman Baseball Team, and in 2008, he was the Longbow Men’s Golf Club match play champion.
Bob’s wife Bethany runs a Homevestors real estate business, and sits on the board of directors for her family’s Michigan-based assisted living and care home business. Bob’s daughter Meredith, a 2012 Red Mountain High School (RMHS) high honors graduate, cheerleader and pom squad member, is now a junior studying at Arizona State University.
Bob’s son Drew is a junior at RMHS, working hard academically and physically, to hopefully be a key player on the 2015 RMHS varsity baseball team.
