Lacrosse has been popular on the East Coast for many years, and it has found its place here in the Southwest, and especially in Arizona, where it has been rapidly growing in popularity and with spectators.

Geoff Larsen has been involved in lacrosse ever since he was a boy growing up in Virginia, where he played as a midfielder in high school. From there, he played at Brigham Young University as a long pole middie. In addition, he is an NCAA certified referee.

Geoff has taken all his lacrosse knowledge, and, for the past 15 years, he has been coaching in Arizona. The East Valley Heat has had him as their head coach for eight seasons. Through these years, Geoff has seen five players recruited to various colleges in the United States.

Geoff has devoted a tremendous amount of time, energy and money into the sport of lacrosse. “Lacrosse develops you as more than just an athlete,” Geoff stated. “It is the fast pace of lacrosse, showing off the coordination and athletic abilities of the players, that makes the sport exciting to watch.”

If you want to get involved in this amazing sport, find your way to www.heatlax.com. Early bird registration will begin in November. All ages, from kindergarten through grade 12, are welcome to play for the Heat during their season, which runs from January to April.

To find out more about East Valley Heat Lacrosse Club, visit the Web site at www.heatlax.com, or contact Geoff Larsen at (602) 524-6592.
