Red Mountain United Methodist Church (RMUMC) will host the 11th annual Holiday Boutique on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 4 and 5, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Are you ready for some time for you? The Red Mountain Crafters are busily preparing to give you two days of girl time (interested guys are welcome, too), designed to make you feel at home, happy, welcome and wanted. If you want to get some Christmas shopping done while you’re at it, this is the place.
This year’s Holiday Boutique is going to be more than ever before. Much like Santa’s elves, our crafters work year round, in an atmosphere of love, charity and cheerfulness, and have surpassed themselves yet again. From gourd art that could hold place in a gallery, to quilted placemats for every occasion, floral arrangements and embroidered pillows, as well as sleek scarves, which all are worthy of professional shops, you’ll have your fill of aesthetic viewing pleasure.
The regular must-have items will be plentiful, from kitchen scrubbies and jeweled toaster grabbers, to aprons and oil lamps. If you’re feeling playful, you can join in the silent auction, bidding for some one-of-a-kind very special offerings.
In addition to a full room of handmade items to peruse at your leisure, the United Methodist Women are providing a gathering room where you can sit and enjoy coffee and chat with other women who are taking a break just to spend some time socializing. They also will offer a wide variety of luscious baked goods for sale—to enjoy in the moment, or to take home for later. And there’s more on the patio. Look over the tables of used books for sale.
Mostly, we hope you come and feel a part of the love and companionship the crafters share all year long. It’s crafting and so much more. It’s friendship and support. It’s also knowing no matter what your situation in life, or what burdens you carry, you aren’t alone.
If you find goodies you can’t do without, rest assured, all profits (and most monies taken in are profit, as the crafters donate not only their time, but most of their supplies, as well) go straight to children and youth ministries right here in Mesa.
