New Frontiers for Lifelong Learning (NFLL) will present an open house on Friday, Jan. 18, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the Downtown Campus at 145 N. Centennial Way, on the fourth floor, with parking on the second or third level of the parking garage.
The open house affords attendees the opportunity to register for classes and meet New Frontiers members who are teachers and facilitators.
A peer-led, self-directed organization of more than 400 members, NFLL, operating under the auspices of Mesa Community College (MCC), offers the chance to grow intellectually and culturally through interactive study groups.
Maybe you have had a curiosity for knowing more about meteorites, the Hopi, the cultures of Tibet and China, or human behavior. Perhaps you want to learn how to become an auctioneer or explore your genealogy. You may want to learn to play bridge, or discuss with others the books you read.
This and more is possible by attending classes or social events. After paying $70 per year or $50 per semester, a member can register for as many classes as one’s schedule will allow.
