Red Mountain United Methodist Church (RMUMC) promises a fun-filled day, as it invites neighbors and friends to its annual BBQ and Music Festival on Sunday, March 26, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The day will feature special music offerings, activities for all ages and a delicious BBQ lunch. The event is free to all guests of the church.
Direct from New York City, Todd Meredith, Ryan Jagru and The Rave Ons will perform a tribute to Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens. Todd and Ryan have toured the U.S. extensively performing as Buddy and Ritchie in the Broadway national tours of the Buddy Holly Story. Enjoy such hits as Peggy Sue, That’ll Be the Day, Rave On, Donna and La Bamba.
JR McAlexander, keyboardist for RMUMC and resident of Las Sendas, along with his Arizona-based company, Showtune Productions, is producing the concert. In addition to this offering held in the big tent behind the church, there will be a western band playing in Madsen Hall.
The picnic-style lunch will include Waldo’s BBQ sandwiches, hot dogs, coleslaw, cowboy beans, potato chips and beverages.
There will be many other activities, which kids of all ages will enjoy, including a petting zoo, face painting, games, bounce houses and a sports interactive inflatable.
