As summer temperatures are getting hotter and hotter, unfortunately, so is the water temperature in your pool, so instead of being able to jump in for a cool, refreshing dip, the pool feels more like a tepid bath.
“There is an easy way to fix that,” said Chris Quam, owner of Arizona Pool Guy Inc. “You can actually chill your pool water down 10 to 15 degrees by adding a device to your pool heater. It costs only pennies a day to operate and runs on household current.”
If you don’t already have a pool heater, you can install the same heat pump technology that heats and cools your home to heat and cool your pool. “Just like your home unit, the pool version of a heat pump chills your pool water down to comfortably cool during the hot summer months and keeps your pool warm all during the winter,” Chris explained.
“Your pool is a big investment in family recreation,” said Chris. “If you can’t use it comfortably year round, you’re missing out. Swimming weather in Arizona is most of the year, but if the water’s too hot or too cold, it’s just not as much fun.”
Technology has come a long way in pool equipment. “Just like we use remote systems for home security systems and appliances, our pool units provide digital controls, which can be used with an existing wireless remote system,” he said.
“Just think, several hours after your cooling system switches on, your pool will be much cooler and really refreshing,” Chris said.
