This year Red Mountain United Methodist Church is hosting a Vegan Trunk or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 3 to 5 p.m. All are invited to attend and participate.
As one of the pastors at Red Mountain United Methodist Church, we believe offering a vegan/allergy-sensitive Trunk or Treat would be a great family event.
A trunk or treat is an event where people gather in a parking lot with decorated car trunks and children can walk from car-to-car trick or treating in a safe, closed environment. Vegan means something does not contain any animal products or byproducts.
Examples of vegan treats for Halloween include Smarties, Air Heads, Twizzlers, Pixy Stix, Sweet Tarts, Red Vines, DOTS, Blow Pops, DUM DUMS, Sour Heads, Atomic Fireball, Jujyfruits, Now and Later, and Zotz. And non-candy items include Spider Rings, Stickers, Pencils, Erasers, plastic Vampire Teeth, Googly Eyes, and GLO Sticks.
Our Vegan Trunk or Treat will have something for everyone. The event will feature a trunk decorating contest, a bouncy house, games, Halloween story time, trick or treating, and more.
Please join us on Saturday, Oct. 28 at Red Mountain United Methodist Church, 2936 N. Power Road in Mesa, for a great time. We are excited to welcome everyone to this fun family event. If you have any questions or are interested in volunteering or donating, please contact the.deliciousvegan@outlook.com or call Rev. Dr. Rula Colvin at (602) 295-3301.
