Love of Christ Lutheran Church presents its annual Living Nativity Walk, taking place over two nights, on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 12 and 13, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Members of the public are invited to attend this free event to experience the streets of Bethlehem, modeled in costumes and design sets, complete with livestock as it was at the time of the birth of Christ.
“Members of our congregation of all ages volunteer their time to give the public a realistic idea of what it was like to be there at the time of the birth of Christ,” said Dianne Oien, event coordinator. “We bring costumes and actual settings to the occasion to give those attending the feeling of the actual experience of that time.”
The experience brings as much authenticity as possible for moms and dads and kids of all ages who wish to attend. “We sing about Christmas, we read about it, but this is as close to being there as we can possibly make it,” Dianne stated.
Love of Christ Lutheran Church is located at 1525 N. Power Road. For more information, call the church at (480) 981-6199.
