Chiropractic Care Should be Part of Your Wellness Program

by Jamie Killin January 2, 2020

Dr. Baden Patterson D.C.

Mesa Chiropractic opened during the summer of 2019 with the mission of making chiropractor services more accessible to members of the East Valley community — from those looking to maintain their good health to those who have been injured in accidents.

Dr. Baden Patterson D.C., and his team, offer affordable traction therapy, physiotherapy, soft therapy and massage, as well as the Advanced Muscle Integration Technique (AMIT) method which is especially effective for athletes and those who are regularly active.

To make these services affordable, he offers a membership to help patients reach optimal health. The membership is just $60 a month, costing less than one adjustment at many chiropractor offices, and includes two adjustments with additional adjustments costing only $10 more.

“We get older every day and what happens to our muscles, ligaments and tendons is that they become shortened and tight, so when people start noticing joint stiffness when they’re getting up in the morning, that’s a sign you could benefit from regular chiropractic maintenance,” said Dr. Patterson.

Those who are being treated regularly by a chiropractor will have less pain, feel better, and reap a variety of unexpected benefits, like immunity.

“Patients who do wellness care will get sick less often with things like the cold and flu,” said Dr. Patterson. “Then if there is a serious injury, like an auto accident, typically the injury is less severe and the recovery is faster.”

One of Dr. Patterson’s most popular techniques is the Advanced Muscle Integration Technique. This technique prevents chronic pain by treating inhibited muscles, which develop over time from overuse and injury — helping people to be healthy and active well into their later years.

Dr. Patterson also treats those who have been injured, most commonly through incidents like automobile accidents, which can cause lifelong problems when untreated. Since pain from accidents doesn’t always occur immediately, he recommends getting checked out after an accident no matter what.

“When ligaments are pulled quickly, even at 20 or 30 miles per hour to stop, that quick stretch can create a sprain in the neck and cervical spine,” explained Dr. Patterson. “Then as things heal with the vertebrae out of alignment, that’s when you’ll hear patients say Oh yeah, I had this auto injury or this football injury back in high school 20 years ago, and it’s never been the same. If we can go in and make sure those things are in alignment as it heals, then we can prevent chronic, long-term pain.”
