Las Sendas Golf Club has a new Director of Golf, Michael Field, a PGA professional who graduated from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University with a focus on PGA golf management.
Michael oversees the entire golf operations, including member play and instruction, as well as the pro shop and special events.
“Las Sendas Golf Club is a fantastic facility,” Michael said. “The club has all the amenities. This is an opportunity to reach my full potential.”
After graduating, Michael participated in several internships, and eventually served as a seasonal golf assistant at White Mountain Country Club in Pinetop. He eventually moved to Queen Creek, where he was the head golf pro at The Links at Queen Creek in the San Tan Valley for 10 years.
Now, the golf professional is ready to exemplify the award-winning reputation of Las Sendas Golf Club. “This is exactly the opportunity I’ve been looking forward to since my first job at a golf course over 20 years ago,” he said.
Michael grew up in a small town, Sugar Hill, N.H., where his dad taught him to play golf at the age of 6. “By the time I was 12, he would drop me off at the course on his way to work and I’d walk at least two or three rounds a day before he’d pick me up on his way home,” he fondly recalled.
In addition to his new role as director of golf, Michael also offers golf lessons, and is ready to help anyone interested in learning the game.
“Let us introduce you to the instructors at the Las Sendas Golf Academy,” said Michael. “Come and enjoy the amenities Las Sendas Golf Club has to offer.”
