The Mesa Police Department has provided a briefing on programs and tips to City residents. It is with pleasure that I extend the following information.
Foundrop
Foundrop is a free website that residents can use to inventory personal property.
Nationwide, police recover millions of pieces of property that cannot be matched with an owner. In the event your valuables are lost or stolen, improve your chances of reuniting with them using the secure Foundrop system.
- Inventory Property: It’s free, and an email gets you started.
- If valuables go missing, search Foundrop to see if they’ve been found.
- When your car keys, pet, jewelry, mobile, electronics, or other items go missing, flag them lost or stolen to enable police to return them to you.
- Your information is private. Only trusted groups can see your contact information. No one can see your inventoried property.

Neighbors by Ring
Did you know that the Mesa Police Department has joined Neighbors by Ring?
Neighbors by Ring, in addition to Neighborhood Watch, sends real-time crime and safety notifications directly to your phone.
- Get instant crime and safety alerts from your neighbors.
- Receive real-time updates from local law enforcement about crime in your neighborhood.
- Share alerts with neighbors to keep your community ahead of local crime.

Preventing Car Burglaries
As seen on cameras, a car will come into a neighborhood and several people will exit the car. While the driver continues down the road, those on foot lift car door handles. If the car opens, they will take whatever is in the car. You can avoid car hopping just by locking your car.
Please lock your cars at all times and remove all items from inside your car. If the burglar sees an item, such as a purse, gun, computer, tools, garage door opener, wallet, money, medication, etc., they are likely to break into the car.
Remember, if you observe anything suspicious, please call in immediately and report it. I encourage you to take advantage of these wonderful programs and useful tips!
