The Ladies Auxiliary of St. Ignatius Church is excited to announce the annual Nativity Bake Sale, taking place on Saturday, Dec. 9, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Featuring traditional Serbian, Czechoslovakian, Greek and Russian baked goods, holiday treats and specialty breads, the sale has sold out for the past three years.
A popular fund-raising event, the Ladies Auxiliary hosts the bake sale to raise funds toward building and community service projects.
The bake sale, open to the public, features several ethnic pastries, such as Serbian nut, prune, apricot and poppy seed rolls; Eastern European-style kolaches; Czechoslovakian cookies; Greek cookies; and Russian tea cakes.
In addition to cultural treats, the Ladies Auxiliary is known for its sweets options, including chocolate-covered peanut butter balls, homemade fudge, dipped marshmallows and traditional holiday cookies. The treats can be purchased in dozens or in custom-made party trays.
Our holiday bread elves created a wide variety of specialty breads, from banana nut bread, to zucchini bread and everything in between.
You can see a complete list of options on our Facebook page, St. Ignatius Holiday Delights.
Advance orders are encouraged. Send in your order by email at saintigholidaydelights@gmail.com or through Facebook Direct Message.
It’s not just food offerings. Members of the Ladies Auxiliary also have crafted holiday table runners, ornaments, placemats and a variety of other items that make perfect hostess gifts.
