Did Santa bring you a shiny new gift? Did you decide to start the New Year with a new car? If so, now is the time to add ceramic coating paint protectant.
Although ceramic coating can be applied to a vehicle at any time, newer vehicles will not require as much prep work, thus giving the best outcome.
So, what is ceramic coating? Ceramic coating is applied to the paint surface much like a liquid wax. When the coating fully cures, it is three times harder than the actual clear coat. The protection will last for years, not months. This will help protect the finish from scratches and nicks.
If you look at your paint surface now, even on a brand new car, you will see very fine scratching in the clear coat. These are caused by car washing (yes, even by hand), sand and debris blowing across the car while driving, and
pretty much any other contact with the surface of the finish. Ceramic coating significantly lessens this damage from occurring.
Scratch resistance is just the tip of the iceberg. Ceramic coating will protect against heat, UV rays and foreign substances, such as bird droppings. In addition, your car will be much easier to keep clean. Washing your car will not even require water most of the time.
A quality dry wash product and a couple of micro fiber towels are all you will need to keep your vehicle looking as fresh as the day you had your coating applied. If you do decide to wash the car, you will be amazed as the water just sheets right off the car.
Ceramic coatings are very hydrophobic, thus allowing water and dirt to easily rinse off your vehicle surface. The coatings also make drying it a snap.
Before a ceramic coating is applied, you must first make sure all paint blemishing is corrected. Ceramic coating will lock in the current vehicle finish, good or bad. We highly recommend a multi-stage polishing of the vehicle be performed to remove any damage that is present.
Once the vehicle surface is prepped, the coating can be applied, locking in your freshly polished look for years. That’s right. When your car is ceramic coated, no polishing or waxing will be required for years to come. Your car will always look freshly polished. Ceramic coating protects your car, keeps it looking like new and will help the car retain its value.
