Cosmos Salon and MedSpa owners Muschi and Eric Morga are pleased to announce the promotion of Christopher Berarducci to creative director.
A master stylist, Christopher has been doing hair for more than 17 years, 12 of which have been with Cosmos. His great passion is keeping up with the latest trends and cutting-edge technologies in the salon business. “To that end, one aspect of his new responsibilities at the salon is the development of a training matrix for the entire staff,” Muschi said.
“Every month, we are bringing in top stylists from around the country to share their creative techniques with our staff,” Christopher said. “These are very successful people at the top of their game, and our stylists are so excited to learn from the best,” he added. “We all love what we do, and we are hungry for all the up-to-date information in our profession.”
“Christopher is so passionate about the experiences and results for guests at Cosmos,” Muschi shared. “He takes a personal interest in the training of all new stylists. Cosmos assistants must train with him for a year before they take on the precision cutting and color for guests.”
“In addition, top educators representing the newly upgraded product lines being introduced by the salon will instruct the Cosmos staff,” Christopher explained. “We use the Wella Professionals color line, and, for those who prefer ammonia-free color, we offer Artego, from Italy.
The manufacturers send us their best instructors to demonstrate product usage.”
What’s the latest in color trends? According to Christopher, it’s hair painting. “Our stylists are getting extensive training in free-hand hair painting,” he said. “It’s a totally different process than foil. It’s very creative and individualistic. We’re getting all Picasso with it.”
If your hair is sensitive to dyes, the salon has introduced Olaplex, an addititve for highlighting and coloring that protects fragile hair.
“We also have added the hugely requested Brazilian Blowout, a special straightening treatment to eliminate frizz and straighten the hair, which lasts about three months,” Christopher said.
Like many of the long-term staff at Cosmos, Christopher sees the salon as home. “Everyone here is treated like family,” he said. “This is the place where I belong. I believe in it. It’s very personal.”
For Christopher, it’s been an amazing journey with the Cosmos family. “I’m incredibly excited to continue to expand and explore with this fresh new vision and passion the Morga/LaVida brand has brought to the table,” he stated. “I’m so proud to have the opportunity and the trust to be able to take us to the next level as I strive to take our education and cutting-edge techniques and trends to new heights.”
